Workshop Dates: June 17-28, 2019 (weekdays only)

Workshop Location:

Delta State University, Cleveland, MS

Funded by the National Science Foundation (OIA-1539035 and CBET 1752036), this workshop will introduce middle and high school science instructors to a new way for using inquiry and crime scene investigations as a method of teaching fundamental science skills and concepts. The workshop is aligned with the Mississippi Science Standards and will incorporate Biology, Chemistry, Physical Science, Physics, Math, Technology, Writing, and so much more.  Participants will experience hands-on, inquiry-based and laboratory instruction and will receive materials to take back to their classrooms.

What is provided:
Full protocols for all of the labs performed in the workshop
$100/day professional stipend ($1,000 total)
Travel/Lodging* and Food allowance
CEUs paid for by the project

Supplies to take back to your classroom
* Travel allowance is based on mileage from the participant’s teaching institution. Restrictions apply
